Honey Badger Sentinel
Fully autonomous search and reconnaissance drone
A drone that searches an assigned area autonomously, without a pilot, and sends what it finds directly to the team picture.
- Problem
- In mountains, indoors and under jamming, GPS and data links drop out, and with one pilot per drone the search area stays small.
- Solution
- Vision-based navigation flies without GPS; on-board perception finds targets of interest and sends their positions to the team server as CoT. Operators set the area and the rules.
Key features
- GPS-denied navigation: visual-inertial state estimation
- Autonomous search: assign area, plan, search, return
- On-board perception: people and vehicles with position and confidence
- CoT output: detections as marks in the Honey Badger App and on TAK maps
- Safety layer: geofence, emergency landing, return on link loss

Scope
- For search and reconnaissance only (no weapons or payload release).
- Flight testing proceeds in stages at designated drone test zones and flight test centers.
